what we do

Welcome to Pinson Hospital Hospitality House! We have three core programs which serve families and their individual needs, which include Overnight Services, Day Services and our Waiting Room Adoption Program.

Overnight Services

Our guests are welcome to stay for as long as they need while their patient is receiving medical treatment at least 3x/week, live at least 50 miles outside of Nashville and have cleared a background check. Our longest stay so far has been 16 months. Families enjoy privacy in their own rooms as well as community in our kitchen, library and lounge areas. Our exit surveys tell us guests feel less stress, fewer feelings of loneliness, increased appetites and improved sleep while staying at PHHH. Please see our detailed information about staying at PHHH.

PLEASE NOTE:

Family caregivers desiring to stay at PHHH must first request a referral from the hospital treating the patient. Submitted referrals generate our waiting list, and potential guests are contacted as rooms become available. Because rooms are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, please note that a referral is not a reservation. Once a family is able to check into a room, they are able to stay as long as the patient is receiving active medical treatment, and thus room openings are sometimes difficult to predict.

For a referral, please see a social worker, nurse case manager, or guest services coordinator at the medical facility treating your patient.

IMPORTANT: Once you have asked your social worker to submit a referral, please click here to read about our Background Check Policy and to complete authorization for PHHH to conduct a Background Check. Background Checks are required of all overnight guests over age 18.

Day Services

PHHH hosts guests during the day who are on our waiting list or their patient is so critical, they sleep in their hospital room at night yet need daytime services such as laundry, computer time and free Wi-Fi access and the simple pleasure of a shower or a snack. To be eligible for Day Services, you must have a social worker or case manager call PHHH with a phone referral for your first Day Services visit.  We have hosted thousands of Day Services guests over the years.
